Jordan Anderson was airlifted from Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday with burns after a crash in the Truck Series.
While Anderson’s truck was spinning across the track, flames began shooting from underneath. The truck continued to spin and slide towards an interior wall, and Anderson appeared to be halfway out the window when it came to rest.
Initially treated in the infield care center, Anderson was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital after scrambling up the wall.
Anderson, a 31-year-old journeyman in NASCAR’s lower level national series, was making his fifth start this season.
