Tennis ace Novak Djokovic has won again in Australia, a country where he has had so much success.

The 35-year-old defeated Constantin Lestienne 6-3, 6-2 on Tuesday at the Adelaide Open 250 in his first win in the country in two years after being deported for refusing the Coronavirus vaccine one year ago.

In 2007, the Balkan, accompanied by his older brother Marko, won there.

Djokovic receives a warm welcome

In spite of receiving a lot of criticism when he was deported last season for his anti-vaccine beliefs, Nole is hoping to make an impact before the Australian Open begins on January 16.

In Adelaide, he hopes to win his 92nd title, equaling Rafael Nadal’s record in fourth place in tournament wins.

There are four matches left for Djokovic, and the first will be against another Frenchman, Quentin Halys, who defeated local Jordan Thompson 6-3, 6-4.
