Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wins longest Daytona 500 in history after record 212 laps
During Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s 14-year NASCAR career, he has struggled to keep a job, lost his seat at a NASCAR powerhouse team and started the new season with a five-year losing streak.
This Daytona 500 was a milestone race for both Stenhouse and NASCAR.
In the longest running of “The Great American Race,” Stenhouse won the 65th running of “The Great American Race” in double overtime and under caution.
It provided anxious moments before a landmark celebration: the first Black-woman-owned Daytona 500 team.
