Travis-Pastranas-flashy-NASCAR-debut-certifies-his-status-as-motor-sports-GOAT

A stunning NASCAR debut confirms Astrana’s status as the GOAT of motorsports

A former X Games champion and motocross legend, the 39-year-old finished a more than respectable 10th in the Daytona 500.

Throughout his decades in the motor sports world, Travis Pastrana conquered motocross, the X Games, and even became a regular on the Jackass series. When he was 39, he decided to put his bike away and drive in the most prestigious motor competition in the country: NASCAR.

No matter how late he came into the game, fans were skeptical. But Pastrana proved he had a future in NASCAR. He made his Daytona 500 debut a memorable one. The motocross legend was able to hold his ground and even lead one lap in his 23XI Racing Toyota, sponsored by Black Rifle Coffee Company.

His first competition behind a steering wheel (outside of rally) was last Friday, when he got his juices flowing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ NextEra Energy 250.

After finishing 10th out of 42 competitors in the Daytona 500, Pastrana told reporters: “I led a lap!”
