In Saudi Arabia, Jos Verstappen is unmoved by Sergio Perez’s victory
Sergio Perez led Red Bull to victory at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
To Jos Verstappen’s disinterest, the Mexican made his way to the pits after the race to celebrate with his teammates.
After the race, Checo Perez and the team jumped in jubilation behind Max Verstappen’s father.
The Mexican driver visited his former Aston Martin mechanics before heading to Red Bull Racing.
Aston Martin used to be Racing Point and Force India when Perez drove for them.
Immediately following the race, Perez said he was thrilled with his first victory of the year, and that he used the safety car to his advantage.
It’s exactly what we were hoping for to have that safety car and to be able to manage the race, not like last year when we couldn’t manage it, but it’s an excellent result for the team, thanks to the hard work they put into resolving the problems over the weekend, it’s time to celebrate,” he said.
Asked about Fernando Alonso’s overtake on the first lap, Perez replied, “there was a problem on the other side, we need to improve the starts.”
