With a comprehensive victory over Mitchell, Jon Rahm enjoys a successful first day

After beating Keith Mitchell with a 4 and 3, the Lion of Barrika will now face Billy Horschel on Friday for a place in the round of 16 in Austin.

In the round of 16, which will be played on Saturday, only the winners of each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
