Bryson DeChambeau Reveals Tiger Woods Cut Him Off after LIV Move
Golf legend Tiger Woods apparently cut Bryson DeChambeau off when the latter decided to join the LIV Golf Invitational Series.
When asked who had estranged himself from him after DeChambeau left the PGA, LIV member Justin Thomas hinted at Woods as a possible culprit.
“I was never one for making too many connections, so we’re on a friendly basis,” DeChambeau revealed to Golfweek. “I was always the guy doing it myself, so there wasn’t really that much interaction between us but we still maintain our distances.”
“I’ve spoken with Jordan (Spieth) multiple times at Dallas National, as well as any other players out there. Will (Zalatoris) and I have had a couple of conversations but no issues have arisen.”
“I’m sure you can guess who [cuted me off]. I won’t put anyone under the bus here – he’s been a great friend. On his birthday, I texted him with some thoughts on it and it is what it is; his perspective may even have hurt his record a little.”
“His record will never be surpassed – that’s the bottom line. There’s still room to grow the game further and one day he may realize our collective vision here.”
DeChambeau went on to explain his reasons why he doesn’t miss playing on the PGA Tour after departing last year.
“I don’t regret anything,” DeChambeau declared.
